The project is part of Beehive Books' Illuminated Editions imprint, a project that combines distinctive book art to reimagine literary masterworks with all-new covers and illustrations from the world's greatest graphic artists. The all-new, deluxe hardcover edition includes original illustrations from Mignola, breathing new life to the charm, gloom, and chaos of the seminal novel, alongside over 100 full-text annotations by Snicket, in the form of slipped-in typewritten sheets produced by Snicket during his Pinocchio-induced descent into madness. It was love at first read and that hasn’t changed a bit over the years.” Mignola joins forces with award-winning colorist Dave Stewart, and celebrated novelist Lemony Snicket ( A Series of Unfortunate Events) for Beehive Books to bring an illustrated and annotated edition of Carlo Collodi’s classic novel Pinocchio to life.
